The Third Sessions (2025 – 2027) honorary committee members of the Brunei-China One Belt One Road Association was officially Swearing – in Ceremony on 16 January , 2025.
Chinese Ambassador to Brunei, H.E. Xiao Jianguo, attended the Swearing – in ceremony of the Third Council of the Brunei-China One Belt One Road Association in that evening. In his speech, he expressed his pleasure in being invited to the event and, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Brunei, extended warm congratulations to the newly elected President Mr. Ang Kian Guan and all committee members.
He also expressed his sincere gratitude to former President and current Chief Advisor Mr. Jackson Ting, as well as the previous committee members, for their selfless contributions . The newly appointed President Mr. Ang Kian Guan stated that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of Chinese President Xi Jinping and His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei, China and Brunei have continuously deepened the alignment between the Belt and Road Initiative and Brunei’s Vision “ Wawasan 2035”.
He expressed hope that with the collective dedication of the new committee members, the Brunei-China One Belt One Road Association will further strengthen its role as a bridge and link, enhance communication and exchanges between relevant departments, enterprises, and civil societies of both countries, and promote deeper, broader, and higher-level mutually beneficial cooperation—contributing to the shared prosperity and joint development of China and Brunei.
